What problems should you be aware of when purchasing elements for SMT patch manufacturing? Note: Each plan must include the same component number and package information as the BOM. It is best to use a codeword on each bundle if possible. You must call us in advance to make any changes to the BOM if there are any differences.
Excess Components: Reistors Capacitors and diodes (603, 0805, 1206, 2225, SOT, TURF, MELF) require a minimum quantity of 50 items and must exceed the requested quantity by at least 30 pieces. Example: Assembly Amount is 40 pieces. We will need 70 pieces. This meets our minimum 50 pieces and the Setting Up Quantity of 30 pieces. Resistors and Capacitors (0201,0402, Mini Melf and Micro plans) must have a minimum 100 pieces. They also need to exceed the requested amount by 50 pieces. Example: Setting Amount 80 Items - We require 130 Items - This fulfills our 100 piece minimum plus the 50 unwanted items of the Assembly Quantity. For expensive components like IC, BGA and QFP, small unwanted pieces (1-5 pieces based on the total Setting Amount) are required to ensure smooth SMT assembly.
Packaging: All SMT components not supplied in reel form should be placed on a continuous tape. Do not cut the SMT components into strips if you intend to use them on various boards. Instead, place them on a continuous tape or reel. The components on trays or tubes can also be used for mounting.
