What Documents Are Required for PCB Assembly?

PCB Assembly requires some files to begin your PCBA handling. If you want manufacturing, please send email to sales@yt-electronic.com.

BOM (Bill of Materials)

BOM is used as a list of all the parts that are needed to produce the final product using SMT. The BOM shows what parts are required to assemble the circuit card and where they need to be assembled. We accept BOMs as .xls, .xlsx, or.csv formats. BOMs for turnkey complete or partial orders may require more information than BOMs for consignment/kitting. The information is below.

The BOM of a consignment/kitting may include the following information:

1. The amount of each component number.

2. Reference code

3. Component number.

4. Part description.

5. Package.

6. Sort (Surface mount, Through opening, or mixed).

The following details may be included in the BOM for partial and turnkey orders:

1. Quantity of each component.

2. Referral code

3. Part number

4. Component summary.

5. Plan.

6. Sort (Surface mount, with hole, or mixed).

7. Name of the producer

8. Supplier component number.

9. Replacing part numbers

10. Gerber documents.

Assembling your boards will require the exact same Gerber format RS-274X that you used for PCB manufacturing. The PCB assembly requires at least three layers of files, including Silkscreen, Copper Track, and Solder Paste. Please ensure that all files are included and ready to be reviewed. We will examine all of your files prior to assembly in order to verify that the information is complete and accurate.

Other

We highly recommend you send us any other information or documents related to your circuit board. This could include illustrations of how to set up the board, assembly instructions unique to your board, or even photos or pictures of your work. These details help us to better understand the assembly requirements, correct any unclear or incorrect placements and ultimately do a great job. Although it is not usually required by the assembler, you can send them to us.
